I only went out for a walk
and finally concluded to stay out till sundown,
for going out, I found, was really going in.
The Wild Goods aims to educate people of all ages about wild food and inspire a desire to explore nature and get outside.
It is my hope to spark an interest in our surroundings, to consider the idea that nature has a great deal to offer us, but we must take from it responsibly and give back whenever we can.
The Wild Goods encourages a shift in our perspective from believing that weeds are a noxious nuisance to believing that weeds are our locally sourced superfoods. It serves to share wild food knowledge and stories with kids, foodies, farmers, landscapers, chefs, and anyone compelled by their natural curiosity to get to know their local food-scapes. It strives to connect the food we eat with the place we live.
